The DPRK Reportedly Prepared And Equipped To Strike Guam, Trump Escalates Violent Rhetoric
The DPRK has reportedly equipped an ICBM with a miniaturized nuclear warhead capable of striking the US territory island of Guam, which is exactly what Kim Jong Un has threatened to do. Furthermore, a plan is to be presented to the DPRK leader for approval by "mid August". The threatened strike and its subsequent plans were particular, stating that the DPRK will launch 4 medium-range ICBMs, giving exact length of time from launch to impact, with North Korean top General Kim Rak Gyom stating that Trump's violent rhetoric was a "load of nonsense".
Gov. Eddie Calvo (R-Guam) issued a special respond on his YouTube channel, which also aired on C-SPAN, in which he reminded his listening audience again that Guam is a US territory, and that any attack on Guam is an attack on the US. Calvo also stated that he will be convening a "unified coordination group", which includes himself, and the rear Admiral. No further details have been provided to the public about the nature of this group.
Meanwhile, China has reportedly taken a more measured response to the dystopian paradigm, urging both the DPRK and the US to de-escalate violent rhetoric, and issuing a statement reminding us that the Korean situation is "complicated and sensitive" - and that it is. Kim Jong Un and his Father, Kim Jong Il, both witnessed the expansion of American imperialism, and the toppling of multiple governments at its hands. Much of this weaponization is no doubt nothing more than survival-ism from the DPRK, and should not be construed to be more than that, although it is. While the mass of the mainstream media unapologetically hurl accusations of insanity and instability at the Korean administration, Kim Jong Un seeks only to produce a weapon like the one that the US houses 6000 of.
The sanctions that began this most recent episode were unfortunately agreed upon unanimously among the UN, reportedly including Russia, and even China, giving us a sense that China is growing uneasy at the prospect of nuclear war in their back yard.
