GOP Works Toward "Tax Reform" Plan
The Republican party has been focused on securing a victory for its base since Trump assumed the office of President, and has, for the most part, been unsuccessful. The GOP has attempted to selectively limit access to US borders (obviously "red meat" for the Trump base, shot down by 2 federal judges), repeal and replace the ACA multiple times (proven unsuccessful in each case), and has nominated heads of various departments opposed to the existence of the departments which they are nominated to head. With regard, however, to "tax reform", the Trump administration does indeed stand a substantial chance of passing such legislation, and would, if successful, be authored by figures such as Steven Mnuchin, ex-partner with Goldman-Sachs, whom Trump has nominated as Treasury Secretary, and entrusted as his his financial adviser.
