North Korea And The US Prepare For Conflict Amid Flaring Tensions
Directly following a US attack on Afghanistan with the most powerful non-nuclear weapon in our arsenal, Trump is admittedly undecided about whether or not this action sent any sort of message to Kim Jong Un. It may be safe to say that it has, but only in presenting the US as an aggressor. The Supreme Leader is undeterred in his actions, and continues to prepare for further nuclear tests. According to "News.com", CNN, and AOL (I would otherwise refrain from employing these as sources***), Kim Jong Un claims he "wants to meet with Trump", but has nonetheless declared his adamant unwillingness to disarm. It is unclear how such a meeting would play out, considering Kim Jong Un's statements as of late directing blame for increasing tensions on Trump's tweets (You did not misread that), and his recent declarations that Donald Trump has made the US a "more aggressive nation". It should also be noted that China's commemorative holiday, known as the "Day of The Sun" is on the 15th, which may mark time for a "celebratory" missile test.
In anticipation of military action from North Korea, the US sent Naval forces to the Korean peninsula, now conjoined with Japanese forces. Again undeterred, Kim Jong Un has commenced the inspection of his own special forces, with the state-sponsored media announcing that "The DPRK military has vowed to make its own preemptive strike at a time it considers appropriate", intimating the US and its allies as "antagonists". The nations leader has made several public appearances as of late, making frequent statements regarding Trump and the US. Another concern to be aware of is the possibility of Russian support for North Korea. It has not been stated that Russia will take action on behalf of Kim Jong Un, but do recall the closeness of the two nations during the Cold War. Assuming inaction on the part of the Russian military, and compliance/acquiescence on the part of China, we can nonetheless assume the support of the UK, and Japan in our actions in the near future.
